What is the best way to navigate Monster Mash-Up?

Since Monster Mash-Up is a unique experience created and viewed in Adobe® Flash® Player, we recommend you use the site’s navigation buttons to move throughout the site. Do not use your browser’s back, forward or restart buttons, as this will reset your Monster Mash-Up experience.

Can I go back and watch the Monster Mash-Up video I created again?

Yes! When you share your video with a friend using our share tool, we will email you a copy of your video that you can view over and over until the site comes down December 1, 2010. Be sure to save the email you receive from us, as that will be the only way for you to go back and access your Monster Mash-Up video after you leave the site.

Can I edit a video that I already created?

No. Once you create and share your Monster Mash-Up video, it cannot be edited. You can use your custom video URL to view the video again and again, but once it’s created, it cannot be changed.

Is there a limit to the number of Monster Mash-Up videos I can create?

No. You can create as many custom videos as you like for FREE, and send them to your friends. There are limitless combinations you can create using the monster cast of characters provided, and your own uploaded photos. We encourage you to mash up you and your friends in as many ways as your imagination can think up!

If I upload photos using Facebook Connect, will something appear on my Facebook profile or wall?

No. Facebook Connect is a simple and quick way to pull images into Monster Mash-Up from your friends’ Facebook pages. By logging into Facebook Connect, you are simply allowing Monster Mash-Up to pull in photos. A notice will not go on your Facebook profile page or wall when you log in to Facebook Connect, nor will your friends receive a notice that you accessed their photos. You can choose to share Monster Mash-Up on your Facebook page using the helpful share links provided on the share tab.

What can I do if I receive or view a Monster Mash-Up video that violates the terms of use, including a video that I find offensive?

If you want to report a video for offensive content, or for otherwise violating the Monster Mash-Up terms of use, please send an email to: flag@monstermashup.com. In your email, please be sure to include the URL to the video along with a short description of why you are reporting it. A member of the OTC team will review your email, and if the video is found to violate the terms of use, we will take the necessary steps to remove the video as soon as possible.

What are the browser requirements for Monster Mash-Up?

Monster Mash-Up has been designed for use with the latest versions of standards-compliant browsers. If you currently use versions of these browsers that are older, you may experience technical difficulties with Monster Mash-Up. If you continue to access Monster Mash-Up with a browser other than those recommended below, key functions may not work properly.

What is the best screen resolution for Monster Mash-Up?

For optimal viewing experience, we recommend setting your screen resolution to 1024 x 768 or higher, and maximizing your browser window. The recommended screen resolution is 1280 x 1024. Using a screen resolution lower than 1024 x 768 may affect your Monster Mash-Up viewing experience.

Why can't I upload my photo?

Be sure your photo meets the requirements for Monster Mash-Up. The photo must be no larger than five (5) MB and in one of the following formats: JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP. If your photo does not meet these requirements, you will not be able to upload it. If your photo meets the requirements and is still not able to upload, contact our webmaster at help@monstermashup.com.

Why is the site taking so long to load?

Due to the large volume of users creating their own Monster Mash-Up videos, our site may from time to time experience slower than normal response times. In addition, if you are using a dial up or wireless internet connection, the site may take a little longer to load. Please be patient if the site seems to be running slowly.

Terms of Use for Monster Mashup

By using and/or visiting this website (collectively, including all content, services and functionality available through the monstermashup.com website ("Website"), you signify that you have read, understood and agree to be bound to (1) these terms and conditions (the "Terms of Use"), and (2) Oriental Trading Company, Inc.’s (“OTC”) privacy notice and general terms of use, which are incorporated herein by reference. Your information and all accompanying content may be deleted, in the discretion of OTC, if it is found that you have misrepresented your age or any other information. Your uploaded photo(s) must be no bigger than 5MB each and in one of the following file formats: JPG, GIF, PNG or BMP. The total limit available to you for all photos is 25MB.

Any content, data and other information that you transmit to the Website ("Content”") shall remain your sole and exclusive property, and you shall be solely responsible for your Content and the consequences of posting or publishing it. You hereby grant OTC and its affiliates, successors and assigns a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free transferable license (with a right to create derivative works) to use, copy, transmit or otherwise distribute, perform, modify, incorporate into other works, publicly perform and display your Content or any portion thereof, in or through any medium, whether now known or hereafter created. OTC shall have the authority of unrestricted use for any Content whatsoever, commercial or otherwise, without compensation to you. Content will be deemed public information and OTC shall not be liable for any use or disclosure of any Content.

By submitting Content, you waive the right to make any claim against OTC or any of its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, successors, assigns, employees, agents, directors, officers or shareholders that arises out of the Content, including, but not limited to, unfair competition, intellectual property infringement, invasion of privacy, rights of publicity, moral rights, negligence, breach of implied contract or breach of confidentiality. Examples of inappropriate Content shall include, but not be limited to nudity or sexually explicit images, drawing or graphics, violence or depictions of violence, profanity, offensive subject matter, drug or alcohol references or related drug or alcohol paraphernalia. OTC reserves the right, at any time and from time to time, temporarily or permanently, in whole or in part, to: (a) modify or discontinue the Website, including, but not limited to restricting the time the Website and its services are available and restricting or terminating any user's right to use the Website and its services. OTC shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the Website, in whole or in part, or of any service, content or feature offered through the Website.
